Burn Awareness Week

Burn Awareness Week is next Week Feb. 3-8, a time set aside each year for us to share a common burn awareness and prevention message. Did you know 73% of burns occur in the home? In Cambodia, a significant portion of burn injuries occur in children, with estimates of two-thirds of all burn injuries happening to children under 10 years old.  This is largely due to factors like open fires in rural areas and unsafe access to hot liquids, which significantly impact the quality of life for affected children and their families.

CSC is dedicated to transforming lives through reconstructive burn surgery—restoring mobility, dignity, and hope to those in need. However, this vital work relies on the generosity of supporters like you. Your financial contribution can help cover the costs of surgeries, medical supplies, and postoperative care for burn patients who otherwise could not afford treatment. Even a small donation can make a tremendous impact, enabling CSC to continue its mission of providing free or low-cost, high-quality care to the most vulnerable. Together, we can give burn survivors a second chance at a full and meaningful life.
