HOW YOUR DONATIONS ARE ALLOCATED (DONORS CAN ALSO SET THEIR OWN PERSONAL PREFERENCES)

Your donation to CSC is the key that unlocks access to high-quality surgical care for our Cambodian patients. When you donate, we promise that 100% of your contribution goes directly towards our clinical activities.

Our donor portal provides complete transparency and accountability, so you can be assured that your generosity is making a tangible impact. We keep you informed with regular updates on how your specific donation is being utilized, so you can feel like you are right beside us, every step of the way.

Whether you make a large or small donation, we allocate it to cover the cost of an activity or part of an activity (or many activities!), and notify you as soon as your funds have been utilised. Your account balance will then be reduced by the amount your donation funded, and you will continue to receive updates on how your funds are being used in the context of your allocated activity.

For those who wish to contribute regularly, our monthly subscription service is a convenient way to make a lasting difference. By choosing this option, you'll receive a stream of updates on the funded activities throughout your subscription period.

We appreciate your support for our mission to provide surgical care to those in need in Cambodia. Your contribution is invaluable to us, and we are grateful to have you by our side as we work towards a healthier future for all. Thank you again for your generosity.

OUR CURRENT LIST OF DONOR SUPPORTED ACTIVITIES

Monthly staff sponsorship

$400

Our wonderful team is critical to providing safe, effective surgical and nursing care and we all have an important role to play. A $400 monthly donation allows us to sponsor a staff member, meaning the donor will receive updates throughout the month as to the valuable work the sponsored team member performed for the month. The sponsorship money does directly reflect the staff member's salary, nor does the donation itself go directly to the individual staff member, but the donation helps to offset the salary costs for the entire hospital. Our staff are truly the most important resource in providing high quality surgical care for those in need and staff sponsorships recognise the tremendous work they do every day!

Direct patient care: Surgical treatment

$183 - $1500 per surgery

Directly funding surgical care can range from smaller eye and ENT procedures to large reconstructive surgeries such as spinal surgery with implants, joint replacements and nerve and vascular microsurgery. The price quoted covers the running costs of the surgery, including consumable items, hardware, staff costs and all post-op care, both as an in-patient and follow up care. Donors will be notified when their funds are used for a surgical procedure and receive updates about the case and the procedure performed.

Direct patient care: Additional expenses

$10-$150

Ocassionally, a patient may not have the ability to cover some routine expenses, like their food or transport to CSC, or for other investigations that we can not perform at CSC, such as CT so MRI scans. In the case a patient cannot cover these expenses, we can allocate donations from our donors to cover the costs. Donors will receive a report as to when and why their donation was used.

Equipment, medications and surgical supplies

$100-$5000

Providing safe, high quality surgery requires a number of items to be bought regularly and maintained, such as surgical instruments, hardware, anaesthetic agents, medications, and personal protective equipment. Donations helping us fund this will receive information on what equipment was purchased, and updates on how that purchase was put to good use at CSC!

Maintaining or upgrading hospital infrastructure

Variable

Having the infrastructure and facilities to provide high quality surgery is incredibly important. Maintaining or upgrading infrastructures may sometimes be needed, and therefore donations may be allocated toward such a project if such a need is required by CSC. Donors will be informed if their donations are allocated toward this and updates will be provided.

ACTIVITY: Support staff monthly sponsorship - Sambath (Donor Coordinator)
Cost: $400
Status: Funded (funded by 1 donors)
This is Sambath, one of our dedicated staff members in the Donor Coordinator team at CSC. The Donor Coordinator plays a crucial role in connecting patients with the support they need for their surgeries. They conduct interviews with patients, gather their stories, and take photos to share with donors, ensuring transparency and fostering a compassionate connection between donors and patients.

In this photo, we see Sambath diligently writing down important details after interviewing a patient, documenting their journey and experiences. This information is vital for keeping donors informed about the impact of their contributions. After the surgery, Sambath also takes post-operative photos and provides updates to donors, highlighting the difference their support makes in the lives of patients. Your generous contributions enable dedicated team members like Sambath to continue their essential work at CSC, ensuring that patients receive the care they need. Thank you for making this possible!
