CSC OFFERS HIP SURGERY CLASS

Last weekend, in conjunction with CSC, the British Hip Society offered a primary hip arthroplasty course to Khmer surgeons. Thank you to JRI Orthopaedics for supporting this program.

This educational programme provided an important opportunity to strengthen Cambodia's orthopaedic surgical capacity, improve patient outcomes, and expand access to specialized surgical care. The course also supports CSC's mission of developing sustainable surgical expertise among Cambodian healthcare professionals. Special thanks to Dr. James Shelton, a former CSC Ortho Fellow, for his ongoing academic assistance.

Ellen, a registered nurse, and her husband Brian, an anesthesiologist, have been active volunteers at CSC since 2008. Ellen has undergraduate degrees in both Nursing and Spanish Literature, and a graduate degree in Health Management. Since 2020, Ellen has volunteered in the role of Stakeholder Relations, connecting with our generous supporters, interacting with visiting surgeons and students, and disseminating updates on Children's Surgical Centre.
