Rotary Club Phnom Penh

Last week, the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh visited us as part of the "Phoenix Kids" project. This project is a collaboration between the Rotary Club and Children's Surgical Centre, aimed at helping Cambodian children who are dealing with serious health issues resulting from the long-term effects of burn injuries. Two-thirds of burn injuries in Cambodia occur in children under 10 years old. When these children are fortunate enough to receive treatment, they have severe skin contractures and may face lengthy surgeries and rehabilitation. The Club met Ny, whose hand was burned from a cooking accident.

To learn more about the Rotary Club's new program to support children with debilitating burns, and treatment from the Children’s Surgical Centre, visit https://rotaryclubpp.org/projects/phoenix-kids/. These young lives can be transformed and their quality of life immeasurably improved.  Thank you for your visit, Rotary Club, and for supporting our efforts to provide high-quality acute burn care in Cambodia.
