Dr. Davy’s TV interview

This week, our ENT Chief Surgeon, Dr. Touch Sokdavy, was interviewed on BTV Health News in Cambodia. She discussed chronic hearing loss for Cambodians, often caused by chronic otitis media - a chronic inflammation of the middle ear - and how it affects rural and semi-rural Cambodians. Children often stop attending school due to hearing loss and chronic infections that are embarrassing. Adults cannot communicate due lack of understanding of the disease, and cannot work when they are sick. CSC provides approximately 250 surgeries annually for this condition.
