Thank you Biocomposites!

July 26, 2023

This summer, I had the opportunity to visit Biocomposites in the UK, a pioneering and world-leading company that has developed calcium compound devices to regenerate bone and carry antibiotics directly to infected bone and soft tissue. After being connected through some of our wonderful visiting medical students at CSC, Biocomposites were kind enough to invite me to visit their facility in Keele, and speak about the history of the Children's Surgical Centre, and our on-going challenges with bone reconstruction cases here in Cambodia, treating the impoverished and disabled with limited resources.

Asides from being such a wonderfully warm and friendly environment, Biocomposites offered a donation of their product, Stimulan, which will undoubtedly be put to great use as we strive to overcome such complex surgical challenges within such limited resources. CSC regularly is confronted with complex trauma cases, often neglected, or complicated, that have become infected, and so having such a product will be extremely helpful as we battle these cases for the needy in Cambodia. On behalf of everyone at CSC, thank you Biocomposites for your support and care and I hope to visit you all again soon!
